Adina Matatov

Being of the first generation in the United States, Ms. Matatov is determined to work hard and make her parents proud. In 1995, her parents came from Uzbekistan because of religious persecution and discrimination and to better their children’s lives. Hearing the various excruciating stories that her parents repeatedly expressed, Ms. Matatov began to appreciate the life she lives. Ms. Matatov feels sympathy for her parents’ experience with their immigration status and wants to help others in need. Ms. Matatov believes it is her duty to assist others in need of receiving new opportunities like her parents once did. Her goal is to better the lives of others to the best of her ability. In order to achieve her goal, Ms. Matatov is enrolled in an accelerated program at the College of Mount Saint Vincent where she is finishing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She intends to pursue her passion for helping those in need by becoming a legal advocate. Ms. Matatov’s optimistic mindset, hard-working character, integrity, and reliability have proven to help her achieve her ambitions. The future looks bright and exciting for Ms. Matatov.
